Sergei Anatolyevich Boguslavsky (1.12.1883-3.09.1923) was a Russian theoretical physicist. He was born in Moscow. He studied at the University of Freiburg and the University of Göttingen, and graduated from the University of St Petersburg (1917). In 1918—21 he taught at Saratov University, and from 1921 at Moscow University.
His research concerned the statistical theory of crystals, hydrodynamics, molecular physics and thermodynamics. He studied the motion of charges in electromagnetic fields and calculated (1921—22) the trajectories of charged particles in them. He developed a general procedure for calculating thermodynamic potentials.
