In 1960 — 70 he worked at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna). From 1970 he has been director of the Institute of Physics and deputy chairman of the National Centre for Scientific Research in Hanoi. His main work was on quantum field theory, elementary particle physics (the symmetry, classification and structure of elementary particles) and neutrino physics. In 1963, together with A. A. Logunov and I. Todorov, he proved the equality of the differential scattering cross-sections of a particle and an antiparticle, and in 1967, with Logunov, he introduced a special class of multiple processes, the inclusive processes.
