Julio Martínez Palacios (12.04.1891—21.02.1970) was a Spanish physicist, a member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences and from 1966 its president. He was born in Paniza. He graduated from the University of Madrid (1914), where he was professor from 1916.
His research concerned thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, relativity and nuclear physics.
