Physicists

Modern physics... and at once the names come to mind of the scientists whose painstaking labour and inquiring minds prepared the splendid present of this ancient science of nature. Here you will find short notes on the biographies of scientists: physicists of the past and the present who each made their contribution to the growth of physics. Every biographical note gives the main facts of the scientist's life and work, together with the results obtained in the fields in which he was active. The section is richly illustrated with portraits, some of them rare. These pages introduce the people who widened the bounds of human knowledge of the world around us, uncovering step by step ever new secrets of nature and its laws.
The faces of some of these scientists can still often be seen in the modern world. Look at the collection "Physicists on banknotes".

Every year new scientists become laureates of the world-famous Nobel Prize. List of Nobel Prize laureates in physics.
