Einstein-de Haas effect

Einstein-de Haas effect, when a body is magnetised along some axis it acquires, about that axis, an angular momentum proportional to the magnetisation it has gained. The effect was discovered experimentally and explained theoretically by A. Einstein and the Dutch physicist W. de Haas (1915); (see Magnetomechanical phenomena).
