Christian Christiansen (9.10.1843-28.02.1917) was a Danish physicist. He was born in Lønborg. From 1886 he was professor at the University of Copenhagen.
He improved the water pump. He discovered (1870), independently of F. Peru, the anomalous dispersion of light.
